One thing about NEM that I see is that I'm not entirely sure if it makes sense to rank it, to me it works just as intended in MGO, a hype song, the fuse that ignites the lights of the show, it serves its purpose and it doesn't go beyond that.
This doesn't mean is a bad song though, it's cool, but ranking it with Highway, Allegro Rat-a-Tat, etc., is not doing justice to this track.

Alternatively, I like the album version of SOS, I think the reason for it is because of the good spacing between the instrumental solo of Inotac and suisei's singing and the fact the intro reminds me a bit of Ridge Racer for reasons I'm struggling to find.

And the nothingness you mention? that's effective for me, because the whole tone of the song is extremely suitable for online racing, as it works like a good adrenaline stimulant, same with Allegro, SS and Template to some degree.
