Interview with animation team

>M: 'Hologura' is an animated film featuring talent from Hololive, a short animation of a few minutes that we post on YouTube every week.It started on 5 May 2019 (*the first episode is currently closed to the public). It's a bit long, but I'll explain how it got started.
>Actually, when the term virtual YouTuber was first spreading, the industry was mainly video posting. However, as distribution gradually became mainstream and popular VTubers increased the proportion of distribution, Hololive started to focus on distribution as well.
>However, there were some problems in making distribution our main focus. The streaming sessions were short, lasting an hour, and long, lasting four or five hours, so new fans had a higher hurdle to overcome in terms of viewing. So we came up with the idea that it would be better to make videos that are easy to watch, and we started by saying, "Well, let's do an animation".
>In the beginning, we also wanted to "be a topic of conversation in the online community" and "be popular". So, even if viewers didn't know anything about the talent's character or backbone, we thought that if the gag was funny and packed with information, they would watch it, so we decided to post an animation video that went all out with the story. Thankfully, it was accepted by fans and viewers, so I started posting gags every week, up to the present day.

>N: When I make animations, I always try to produce animations that attract the viewers and make them think that they are cute and interesting.

>Against this background, our animation team is now characterised by its one-stop service, from planning and scriptwriting to the production and delivery of the film.

>But in terms of the reaction of the people around me, when I decided to get a job and reported it to my parents, they didn't know about Cover Inc. After that, they did their own research and told me that it was an amazing company that was also involved in the VTuber and Metaverse businesses.

>The good thing is that we like entertainment and we are very sensitive, so information is fast and fun. If anything, I'm much quicker to get information from the internal Slack than from social networking.
>Another thing is that we have a culture that supports us when we want to do something. When I finally became a full-time employee and said, "This is what I want to do", they immediately supported me and said, "Well, let's give it a try".
