/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

I am dropping in to say hello and I miss you all.
Working on trying to get to a point of streaming again, but it is very difficult right now... I do have a place to stay and I am safe, but I have to see how much I can actually do here. My times would definitely change. I might focus on pre-recorded things on youtube for a while, when I am able to set my PC up and stuff again.
Not sure if anyone cares, but sorry for being absent for so long. I have honestly been really down about it, being away from everyone, missing out on spending time with people. But I would feel really dumb sadposting about something I have no control over. This constant uncertainty is just a lot for my brain to handle.
On the bright side, I feel even more thankful for the memories I have made with all of you until now. I was always really happy, but wow does absence make me really think about it.
Sorry if this update is silly or unnecessary. I feel weird posting stuff like this on Twitter. Maybe I should, actually.

These will be my last questions. I have to start to really focus on doing my best as a vtuber and working on all the things I need to grow, at least enough to get where I want to be. That combined with my health stuff means I will be a bit too busy to read or post anymore, to a lot of places. But I wanted to take today to try and connect with you.

I have not gotten any and I am started to feel like I should, but the idea of commissioning art without an explicit purpose is something I have to wrap my head around.

I order my songs based on intensity, not mood. If you are doing a karaoke set that is fairly long or time intensive, order them based on how you sing. IE. warm up, melodic, throat stressing, cooldown, whatever. The only thing I think is important is the last song; you can end with a bang (if you pace yourself correctly) or end sad and slowly like Koragi tends to do. It is up to you.

If you could choose two vtubers and swap their gimmicks/lore/whatever you want to call it, who would you choose?

Like Nyaru as a corgi and Koragi as an idol! Something similar to that!

I was thinking about how a vtuber's kayfabe can help reflect their interests and personality and I wondered how much of the streamer we know would change if we took it and swapped it out with someone else. How important is their kayfabe to their character depending on how easily it is swapped? Just something to think about.

Hello, /wvt/. I want to ask questions, but honestly... do you think my questions are helpful? Is there a way to make discussion organic? There was a thread where I asked about costume or character designs and it really triggered discussion! The entire thread started talking about cool ideas and designs and we got history lessons on certain looks. But most of my posts do not encourage much discussion and I worry it may be my approach. Sometimes I feel replying to people does more hard than good since I tend to type so much.

"X simulator" games are usually disappointing because they end up being cash grabs rather than proper simulators like the older simulator games were. Disappointing, when they could be so much more interesting. But I guess with the creation of Goat Simulator, most simulator games fall into more of a meme category.

I do not usually answer my own questions, but...
I think I was most excited about Corpse's first Among Us stream... it was surprising, since I sort of hate Amogus, but she made it a ton of fun! It showed a very funny and silly side of her. It was nice.
And I think a stream I got really invested in was Kongou's Fortnite stream. It was just so absurd given everything we know about how he acts usually and the entire truck royale was so funny. OH my gosh.
