In NijiEN it's very typical for people to think that male vtubers are the GOAT, that they are better and superior and more popular in every way.

But look at the actual state of the EN vtubing market, pic related. This is what the fandom of Western vtubing looks like.
It is overwhelmingly male fans. In fact you will find that most of the female fans are not even really Western fans at all, they are Asian.

So when people say, "what about the male fans" they are not being pedantic. That is actually a very very important question to ask, when considering the EN vtubing audience at large. In fact vtubers such as Selen, Pomu, even Reimu have the capacity to completely fucking dwarf vtubers like Vox, Luca, Shu....etc. given the right conditions.
