Trade is complex but the reality is that it comes down to supply and demand. The conclusion of the others comes down to if you want hags working the fields or not imo. If you do, yes you would have a surplus but if not, then you probably need to import.

The overall matter of trade is just providing for your population what they need and vice versa. It's complexity comes down to what you need or don't need, but really, that can be zero summed easily as happening without all of these details.

In the end, I recommend just thinking about what your nation is good at producing and what it needs desu.
