Pippa, I have no idea if you'll manage to read this or not but here's some advice from an IT Professional.
It sounds like you're bootlooping into safe mode because of a hardware failure or a dead driver. While in the machine, you need to go into c:\Windows\ and see if a folder called "Minidump" exists. if it does, go inside and see if there are log files inside. If there are some from today, you're in business.
Install the program "WinDbg Preview" on your laptop through the Windows Store, and put that log file onto a USB drive. Follow this guide here and it can tell you what the log file says for what's causing the crash - https://www.windowscentral.com/how-open-and-analyze-dump-error-files-windows-10
Google search the 'module name' and if it's a driver or something, it should tell you that. Download and reinstall the newest driver for that problem, and it should hopefully fix your problem.
