Oh yea, I'm not fully defending the story. The main characters aren't too interesting, and some are agonizing. The series dialogue is terrible and gets in the way of decent action.

However, it does do some really good things. Particularly the side characters. The upper moons and pillars are awesome. And while it comes somewhat as a detriment at times, the series pacing does really make it special. Seeing things happen so fast and not give characters time to rest adds a lot of tension to the fights.

I won't spoil anything of the final arc incase you haven't read it, but I think the rest of the series is ok, with the final arc being genuinely great.
