Shipping. The issue was always shipping. Casual fans will always look towards the Hololive shop to buy merchandise, that's a fact. When Cover upped the shipping prices, sales for individual merch items changed drastically for those overseas. A dedicated fan may look for a third party or proxy to get the merch, but a casual fan will never go through such lengthy processes to buy it. That's why sales plummeted when they saw shipping estimates like this.
If Cover wants to remedy this, THEY'RE the ones that need to act. We've already voiced our grievances on the matter, the next move is in their ballpark.
