It's easier because you can choose skills to carry over to other persona. And I think they DID rebalance some bosses as well. But it has the same rules as any other SMT game, ignore buffs and debuffs, and eventually a boss will give you a hard time.
She would have beaten the boss way earlier, but her hit rate is debuffed which is fucking her over. She'll learn at some point when the next major boss starts mind controlling her party members.
