if your gym has a hip thrust machine that allows for a REALLY low eccentric, i.e., allows you to stretch the ass out before it works to move the weight, then i suggest low weight high reps on that, really focus on slow movements back down.
otherwise use high box hip thrusts with a barbell and kickbacks on the cable machine
also more importantly, eat slightly more than usual (make sure its not all junk) and get proper rest

To add onto this coming from someone who dumped a lot of time into base pso2, no, NGS isn't great and if you're playing just for the cosmetics you'll have to be prepared to spend money on the gacha or grind like a motherfucker to buy them off the player shop because the economy on most ships is already fucked a year and a half in. NGS has a very shallow story compared to previous phantasy star games and the open world itself is for the most part pretty barren, lategame grind is a huge pita (although it was in base too) and raids are less fun now. Classes in general have barely any skills right now compared to base, so while combat feels a lot nicer and more intuitive it's also more repetitive. Also the game is optimized like shit so you might not be able to get a nice pretty look on your screenshots like all the japs on twitter do.
That being said male cosmetics generally run cheaper, I haven't played in a while so I'd need to update to check but shu's will probably be the most inexpensive on the player shop out of all the new outfits. I personally wouldn't recommend installing it unless you have a friend that plays who can help you level. Sorry for the sperg it just makes me sad that NGS is a big unfulfilling timesink, there's definitely better games to no-life out there but nothing's stopping you from trying it if you want to support the funny sorcerer. (I will say NGS is a lot better at actually teaching you how to play the game, in base it was easy to semi-permanently fuck something up if you weren't using internet guides because the in-game tutorials were so unhelpful)
