Yeah it was a funny time. They tried to surpress all the catholics in the country (probably the right decision looking at the later vastly more bloody Taiping rebellion in China later) which led to the Shimabara Rebellion which was funded partially by the Portugese so the Protestant Dutch stepped in smelling a chance to take over the market and helped the Tokugawa Shogunate put them down. There was also a policy that foreign merchants from then on had to step on icons of Mary to prove they weren't Catholic which again the Dutch could work around being Protestant. I'm glad the Japanese were able to preserve their culture for so long and avoid getting colonized or converted.

Cute, sings well, her tastes mesh well with mine (sci fi, history, old anime) keeps me motivated with work and fitness, I greatly admire her ability to keep pushing forward when things are breaking her down rather than succumbing to it and she always makes me feel appreciated with how much she puts into streaming.
