Non-chronological storytelling can be pretty cool, you just gotta make sure the narrative is following some kind of logical order. Like, showing past events which explain the current events that the story just featured, or will feature in the next chapter. Or jumping forward to foreshadow at the climax of the story. Lots of good ways to pull it off I think.
Also, I want a hibiscus-flavored frozen treat now.

Oh, military and sea-related words would come in handy with a high frequency. Stuff like "Navy", "Fleet", "Ship", "Admiral", "sailor", and "Black". Also "mountain", "jungle", "beach", "lake", "gold", "diamond" pop up a lot and would be useful. "scythe", "reaper", "death" would be good to have... "Trade", "cannibal", "heresy", "blasphemous", "fire" would have immediate use. "Armor", "weapon", "cannon", "magic" as well. Also "steel", "hard" and "tough".
I could come up with lots more, but those would be most useful.
