What killed the hype?

Whenever people attempt to make criticism of Cover/Hololive, they speak of stories of idol culture in Asian countries such Japan and Korea where talents are forced to not eat to stay fit or shave their heads to apologize etc.

I've been following Hololive since 2019, yet I have never heard of such nightmare scenarios from the talents themselves - but criticizers always assume that because "Hololive is an idol company", these extremes should be also true for them.

Am I missing some information here? Have there some streams/clips where the talents talked about being forced by Cover to starve themselves, being forced to practice dance choreographies until their feet bled, etc?

General or specific, how long is your average Hololive idol going to last?
What factors, internal or external, contribute to either speeding up or slowing down the aging process?
With all these new generations coming out left and right, competition getting fiercer and fiercer there's going to be a bottle neck sooner or later. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.

I've discovered Hololive 3 months ago and I'm completely obsessed with it. For the past three months all I've been doing was watching old and new streams all day long, I even failed all my courses in college because of that. Now I'm fixated on the idea of becoming a Hololive Vtuber, it's my dream, I feel like this is what I was born for. I'm multi-talented and professional, which according to Subaru is what they seek in their auditions. I can play the piano, I can speak english, french, spanish and japanese up to N3 level, I can draw pretty well and I play vidya a lot.

Just give it to me straight, can I ever be a Hololive Vtuber despite being a male? I don't wanna be a HoloStar, don't really like them nor do I want to change my gender or some shit, I wanna be a Hololive girl despite being a male, maybe with some voice changing software or something? I need to know if this is an achievable dream, please give me any info you can that you feel will help me, I'm going all in on this.

Who is a good starter vtuber? I wanna get into this but I don't know who to choose.
