I have severe ADHD and can hardly sit still for more than 5 minutes. But when Polka is whispering to me, I am able to lay completely still for over an hour, barely even breathing. My body starts to feel like it is melting into a warm, soft void of nothingness. My mind completely blanks as I enter a meditative, perhaps even vegetative state.

All of my worries no longer exist. I become completely at peace and even after it's over it takes me several minutes to rouse myself from this stupor, if I do not simply fall asleep. It's like I simply cease to exist, but in a good way.
