there are 3 possible trades for the polar star (sand zone, labyrinth, and after the labyrinth), and 1 trade with the blade (outer wall). there's no way to finish the game with everything. guides honestly fucked with people's heads by making it seem like you're "missing" stuff. it's more like there are tons of secrets if you fuck around in a second playthrough, kind of like dark souls 1. the only thing the dev really insists you get is the life pot, which is why you can get infinite of them if you go back and the dog brings you one right before the ending.
