I did notice that re-typing local after closing a prompt removes the variables I've set earlier.
I did figure out 24000 sounds like something I should divide by x(2^10.2^3) , but I was confused as it leaves a value nowhere near the max file limit (it's been through so much division so I thought I must be wrong somewhere while dividing it by a serie of 2s)
Thanks for the tip about not encoding the audio and about how asterisks work. For this instance I skipped the audio portion because I meant to use meme audio.
I still used the vp8 and legacy options though, except for changing libvpx to libvpx-vp9. I'll try using the vp9 lines you sent for next time. I used the ffmpeg wiki quite extensively to figure out each prompt after posting here. Now I have a bunch of edited bookmarks so I can find guides without the tedium of syntax omitting search engines. Ah... constraint quality mode as opposed to AVB... I was still confused about how bytes are calculated. Is it that 1MB=2^10KB or 2^3KB (because Kilo to Mega rises by 3 decimal places)? Is 1 byte = 10 bits? I'll refer to your equations first for now.
I initially always stopped the process whenever the bitrate says 0x. But at the end when I start being more confident in the things I'm doing, I just let it process both passes even if the first output is said to be empty.
I was clipping a hologra episode and turns out the raw resolution was 1440p which is too big for /vt/. So in the end it didn't even matter and I just learned to use -vf scale -1:720 which lowered my filesize to 1.5M lol. Also, the 7.5 sec duration was from a wrong cut version that's just over a second longer than what i intended.
I do wonder what happens if I try to do noisy clips too. Maybe it would be better if I learn how to crop out their avatar then.
Thank you very much for explaining it all. I'm trying to learn about video creating with the limited hardware I have so I hope this whole ordeal will contribute to my knowledge
And to top it off let's add "compress" and "webm" in this post so people can easily search this through the archives like how I found that hlgg post

now let's see if anyone gets how I connected the reference with the hologura clip (ggg didn't get it)
