/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

I see discussion of people playing favorites sometimes and while it's always in relation to chuubas it makes me wonder about how those thoughts apply to artists too, myself included. Maybe it doesn't apply to other people, they have a far lower (quantity, far higher quality) output after all and tend to be more laser focused on specific topics while I just by nature cast a wider net.

I play favorites. That isn't what's causing me to be menhera this monday, that's only human. I guess what's making me menhera is thinking about if other people notice it, and what they think about it. If they notice the people I start to draw less, the ones I start to draw more. If they think my choices are weird, especially considering they include people that haven't streamed in a while or that only seem to cause drama when posted here.

I can't help but just wanna draw what I wanna draw, but sometimes I wonder how it makes other people think when they see "oh it's a drawing of that person again" or "why'd he stop drawing this other person?"

I know how it is, I had a really bad episode earlier in the year where I lashed out at people for what I took as being patronizing. The only thing that broke me out of it was having someone try to cheer me up only to apologize when they saw how I was handling others doing something similar. Made me do some introspection and realize I was just being an asshole to people that care about me rather needlessly. Even if they are only giving platitudes, they aren't empty. They probably just don't know what to say and want to let you know they do care.

I'd DM her this but I already feel kinda bad for DMing her in the past even if I wasn't trying to be patronizing at the time...

I guess it sounds like entitled whining but I don't know dude even once you accept that you just don't belong and don't try to really be a part of it anymore it's hard to not let those feelings of resentment affect your mood when lurking the chat or things like that.
