The OC competition was a great idea, it's just that other games overshadowed it and it never took place. Doesn't mean that it can't be organized right now, Mid-Summer Games, perhaps?
Posting it with OC (not mine) that never got posted, a travesty.

Regarding the discussion of what the thread is supposed to be/contain, a variety of content is best I think, but it's nigh impossible to "force" a thread to go into a certain direction. Obviously the thread is currently missing gameplay and stream discussion. And is definitely too heavy on hornyposting of essentially every kind.
There was a very interesting series of posts made regarding the distribution of coin prices a couple of days ago, and very few people replied seriously. Granted it wasn't the best-explained argument anyone has ever made, but I personally thought it was interesting after getting what it was trying to postulate.

Rather than accepting that the game/thread is dead, I think it's better to acknowledge that a rollback to the past is impossible and that chasing that idea of 'early threads/early nasfaq' is pointless. That being said, that doesn't mean that it's /dead/ and that it will be /dead forever/. We still get quality posts every once in a while, such as poemanon here >>28390039. Adding other fandoms accomplishes a similar goal of injecting content/new things into the community, but NASFAQ is a Hololive-centric game and it's a part of its core identity, I don't think it's changing soon.
