Yoki wasn't the first to follow them out of CL, but she sure does have impressive networking skills.
Making new friends aside, I see it as a smart move to try and build a good relationship with them since they seem to be a serious new contender based on first impressions of the quality of stuff they've showed off so far.
Their Teaser PV had a lot of custom made assets (door opening animation/backgrounds/props/music) and if you look closer you can see that their onsen/bath outfits seem to be part of the model/rig too and aren't stock vtuber studio PNGs.
