Livestreaming is live content, which means it has to be enjoyed LIVE to be worth it.
The streamer's reactions with and relation to the audience are what makes it fun for everyone.

As such, streaming is where parasociality is literally the content itself.
And since parasociality = entertainment here, successful (streaming) vtubers are entertainers of the most absolute sense.

The problem you have is with livestreaming itself as content.
Well there are many limitations, such as being terrible for genuine creative expression compared to videos, as well as the massive time requirement filtering most would-be viewers immediately.
