Holo is in a "to big to fail" state in the west. They had the market cornered before debuting a single EN vtuber, Niji was just as a pretender due to the fact their western presence was non-existent, to this day there's people that don't know that Nijisanji is older than Hololive.
Christ even in this board, I see endless posts on how this liver sucks and why they suck, meanwhile one guy saying that a holo girl not streaming or even new years is a shitty thing to do gets his post deleted.
The other factor is that attacking Niji is a business at this point, it even alloowed dregs of humanity like depressed nousagi to make a comeback.
