I was watching the VOD from earlier and I realized I never really knew WHY Mr. Mean is Riro's mascot or why he's designed the way he is. After a sudden train of thought it dawned on me, he's a representation of Riro's mental illness.
Makes me feel both sad and happy for her. By personifying her intrusive thoughts and negativity into a punchable soft ball and sewing its mouth shut, she's signifying that she's better than it and is in control now. Even if the stitches come undone and he starts spitting vile rhetoric, she only has pity for what once controlled her and can easily shut his mouth again.
I'm so proud of this little menhera alien.
