VShojo markets itself on their freedom to say and do whatever they want, and that translates into degeneracy i. e. sexual and crass humor. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing but when they make those jokes it feels cheap which translates into feeling gross, or just being downright boring and hollow
Of course, some will tell you clips are to blame for their image, and this is partially true for half of the members. See, most people outside of her will tell you they like Hololive because they’re a subversion of idols, but VShojo feels like a total inversion and if you’re not into that you’ll get filtered
Also, their content is very different. You’ll sometimes have YouTube videos reaction streams and Twitch chat in itself; again, if you’re not used to the nature of those streams, you’ll get filtered
Finally, some of the members have drama that make people despise them, especially and heavily Nyanners, and just for that some might not check them

Now, to explain it in few words, you know how some VShojofags don’t like Hime? Apply that for the rest of the group and you’ll have the POV of the people who dislike them
