Siege has always had a harsh defender's advantage. That's why the defense is centered around the "20-second meta": to burn the attacker's 2:45 clock with utility, roaming, and retreating, until when they can reach the site and plant, they only have 20 seconds or less to win a 5v5 gunfight.
Still, the better and more coordinated the attacking team is, the smaller the defense advantage gets.

It took VSPO so long to take library control on most rounds in Chalet, which is the first step to a lot of attack rounds.
If they could clear that out faster than a minute, they would have been able to win some of their attack rounds.

On round 5, VSPO had a 5v3 advantage before even stepping onto the site and messed it up anyway because Nazuna rushed the plant instead of using their numbers advantage to wrap around and take wine control.
If she realized she had time on her side, and had her team coordinated enough to already have people on the other entrance, that would have been an easy win.

Once the teams build up coordination we won't see defense winning 5 rounds in a row anymore. Coaches are doing a good job so far of teaching defense, and Wokka in particular has continuously been giving great feedback IMO.
