I think I can finally put a finger on what bothers me about the Mori situation, when I ignored the rest.
The /m/ guy might be a bit of an asocial dumbass, but his concern came for a genuine place. As someone here put it, following a streamer regularly is as demanding as playing an MMO. Hours into watching the stream itself and if you go into communities it becomes part of your online circle. When there are things that threaten the quality or in that case attack part of the "streaming circle" one watches, it's normal to become defensive. Streamer fans - especially those that watch regularly - have invested a lot of time in it. Most likely more than Game of Thrones viewers have invested into the series.
The problem isn't that Mori dismissed him, the problem is that she attacked him for doing what any fan of anything (be it a TV show or a video game) does. Same shit as EA attacking fans for complaining too much.
