No it doesn't. It's not Mori's fault that kiara is insecure about her lack of success and it isn't Kiara's fault that Mori just didn't pay attention to her in order to pursue her own goals. They were incompatible with each other, that's all.
Once Kiara was able just to focus on herself and once Mori was able to rid herself of distractions they were better than when they were together.
