I always assumed losing hearing in one ear would have nothing to do with pitch perception, then the other day I actually tried sealing one ear and playing my piano only to find that the piano started sounding pitch shifted and out of tune. Shit was really weird, but honestly it matches how Kanata has usually mentioned pitch control before anything else when she's talked about her difficulties with singing. I think that's probably where a lot of issues that come up in her singing ultimately stem from. Not saying that they're all pitch related, but things like being insecure about whether you're on the right pitch or not, or focusing too much on pitch control in lieu of other things probably do lead to other issues. Hopefully it's something that can be overcome with enough practice, because god knows that Kanata is good at grinding.
