Here are some famous historical examples of individuals being assigned tasks that were essentially "fool's errands"—tasks that were pointless or unlikely to succeed:
1. The Trojans and the Wooden Horse:
>Context: In the story of the Trojan War, the Greeks devised a clever ruse involving a large wooden horse, hiding soldiers inside. The Trojans, believing it to be a peace offering, brought it into their city, leading to their downfall.
>Fool's Errand: The Trojans ignored warnings and took what seemed like a harmless gift, effectively undertaking a task that led to their destruction.
2. King John and the Magna Carta:
>Context: King John was forced to sign the Magna Carta in 1215, which aimed to limit his power and protect the rights of the barons.
>Fool's Errand: John later attempted to annul the charter, believing he could ignore the agreement. This led to further conflict and ultimately his loss of power, demonstrating the futility of his efforts.
3. Napoleon’s Invasion of Russia:
>Context: In 1812, Napoleon Bonaparte launched a massive invasion of Russia, believing he could quickly defeat the Russian army and secure control.
>Fool's Errand: The campaign ended disastrously, with the harsh winter and scorched earth tactics leading to a massive loss of troops and resources, proving the venture to be a grave miscalculation.

>Schizophrenia is a serious mental health condition that affects how people think, feel and behave. It may result in a mix of hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking and behavior. People with schizophrenia can seem to lose touch with reality, which can make daily living very hard.
>Schizoid personality disorder is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency toward a solitary or sheltered lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness, detachment, and apathy.

average ejaculation volume is 1.5-5 milliliter depending on age, diet etc.
so I took 3 and chatgpt told me a gallon is about 3785 ml, which means I'd have to goom about 1261 times for a gallon. so If I goomed to her at least twice a day in the last 4 years, I'd have lost a bit more than 2 gallons, unless I did the math wrong

>In species in which many males mate with one female when she is in heat, sperm from all these males is deposited in the female's reproductive tract in a short span of time. A male that deposits more sperm under these conditions will have a higher chance of fertilizing the female's eggs, and hence siring offspring. Males with larger testicles produce more sperm, and therefore have an advantage in such a sperm competition scenario. This is called sperm competition theory, because sperm from different males duke it out inside the female's reproductive tract.
>Rats have just such a mating system in which multiple males mate with one female, especially at higher population densities. When a female rat comes into heat, she may be mated by multiple males in a short span of time. The male with the biggest testicles will produce the most sperm, which means he'll have a higher chance of fertilizing some of her eggs.
>In contrast, species in which just one male mates with a female during her estrus don't have sperm competition, because the sperm racing to fertilize the female's eggs belong to a single male. There is no need to produce a lot of sperm, so males of such species can afford to have small testicles.
>This relationship between testicle size and sperm competition holds true across the animal kingdom, and has been found in mammals (primates, sheep, rodents etc.), birds, amphibians, fish and insects. In fact, testicle size is considered an excellent predictor of a species' mating system. Species in which multiple males mate with a female in a short span of time encounter sperm competition and have large testicles relative to their body size. Species in which just one male mates with a female encounter no sperm competition and have relatively small testicles.
>Hence our species has small testicles relative to our size and other species have large.

A Princess's first duty is to produce an Heir. Their second duty is to serve, uphold and support The Crown.
As royals, there is also likely to be an endless round of public appearances, ceremonies, royal functions and formal dinners, many of which modern princesses will be required to not only attend but also to look glamourous and sophisticated, and remain charming throughout.
Contrary to the classic fairytale image of the idyllic life of a princess, the women and girls who have held this royal title throughout history have undoubtedly been subjects to a range of regal expectations.

they're cool and mysterious, I wanna know if it's actually true that they can lead to other universes like depicted in science fiction. I also like the idea of a penrose sphere, which is like a large mirror built around it, particles are shot through it, bouncing back and forth between the mirror's inner surface and the black hole's ergosphere, generating energy. If we ever manage to build one it could power our civilization "forever". well google tells me a black hole with the mass of our sun would decay in about 10^67 years, which is an incomprehensible amount of time to me, it's one hundred billion trillion quindecillion years if you put it into words. (and that sounds made up)

depends on your playstyle, but I'd recommend "the machine age" (and by extension "synthetic dawn") it's the biggest dlc since Utopia and adds a ton of content
>new crisis path
>new machine ascension paths (also a soft rework for machines)
>new machine ascension paths for organics and cybernetic empires
>also spiritual cybernetics for all your adeptus mechanicus roleplaying needs
>new crisis with unique mechanics
>probably more things I don't remember right now
I like "nemesis" because it allows you to "become the crisis" and blow up the galaxy with star eaters and the aetherophasic engine(also extremely cheap ships that only cost a set amount of minerals no matter what components you put on them), and adds things like "the custodian" to the galactic community, which can turn into the emperor, palpatine style.
then there's the story packs, I rank them in this order
>ancient relics
>astral planes
>leviathans
>first contact
>distant stars
and then come the species packs (all of them have their own quirks and mechanics)
and the rest of the dlc that add some mechanics that aren't THAT interesting to me personally.
I'd recommend getting them when they're on sale, which is often when a new dlc comes out.
sry for the long post.

nonsense, almost all insects can survive a terminal velocity fall, because their terminal velocity at that size is very low, and their mass is so tiny that their exoskeletons can very easily handle the minimal shock of impact.

Allergies are the result of an overactive immune system forcing your body to have an exaggerated immune response to particulate material it believes are harmful pathogens. It has nothing to do with diet. It is often genetic and as you age, you can both lose and develop new allergies as genes are turned on and off at random.

The ONLY way to cure allergies is exposure therapy that conditions your immune system into correctly recognizing benign material as non-harmful and thus not throwing your entire body into "retard get rid of this" mode.
Allergy shots do this at an accelerated rate by directly injecting you with controlled micro amounts of the material you're allergic to, which is found by scratching your back with small amounts of different types of common allergens. Once your personal allergies are found and documented, a lab sends you personally customized solutions that a you bring with you to a clinic that administers the shots over time at increasing intervals between shots.

A carnivore diet will not improve or harm your allergies.

And for those of you who think off-by-one errors "aren't a big deal", think again.
This is what happens when artists get together and try to do things with numbers without first talking to a math nerd. Complete disaster.
