Nature anon here. I decided to go back to the river as I was still curious about the rock covered in scratches I think they bettleotter but I am unsure. While I did not find a bettleotter I did find this trio. a Shintle,Hakktle, and a Flaytle stacked. this is not an uncommon sight shintle's size makes it easy for them to carry smaller turtles thru fast water that would be to strong for them,a task the friendly shintle is all to happy to preform the largest shintles will even carry humans and other animals on their backs to help them cross rivers. It is believed that traveling back and forth in the river they live is fun for the shintle which is why it gives rides to others. Hakktles actually have a symbiotic relationship with the shintles as Hakktles are a kind of snapping turtle which means they bite hard,Young Hakktles are protected by a large shintle til adulthood meanwhile the fierce hakktle though young will scare off anyone trying to overwork or abuse their shintle. the bond shintles and hakktles share goes so deep that it is found the hakktle will actually seek out the shintle that raised them before laying eggs, old shintles may take care of up to 100 baby hakktles at a time. Hakktles even hold funerals when a Shintle passes away. Lastly the flaytle a small mud turtle they prefer muddy slow moving rivers over faster rivers they are by far the second most common passenger on shintles as they are not strong swimmers.
