It's a grift, with almost near perfect certainty. It looks like a web3 scam because it was designed like one. Web3 grifters have been jumping ship to AI ever since NFTs are sinking, but I didn't expect some of them to enter Vtubing as their next scam venture. Given his last position and seeing the money it made my guess would be that he wants to be in charge of his own scam operation.
Apparently also studied Chinese according to his Facebook.
