You know, honestly after looking up how they look like, those ports seem to be usually subdermal in adults but idk if that's just for cancer patients. You basically just stick the needle through the skin and into a silicon medium that's inside the port. There is a circular bump where the port is and sometimes you can also see the catheter going up to the collar into the vein, but its really not that out there looking.
