I briefly talked about this on /stars/ but I want to autistically talk about it in a bit more detail on here

I looked at the lyrics to the song, “The Highwayman” and I don’t know whether it’s because I have my oshi on my mind 24/7 or me coping and figuring out the origin of his name but I swear I honestly think it kind of fits him. So if you don’t want to look it up, basically the song is about a soul with incarnations in four different places in time and history: a highwayman, a sailor, a construction worker, and finally as a captain of a starship.

It sounds relevant to his lore, with all the alternate universes and how he can travel around said dimensions. Now through the end of each segment they say quite interesting lyrics such as:
>But I am still alive
>But I am living still
>But I am still around
>But I will remain
This is relevant because it can show that no matter what “incarnation” aka “universe” he’s in, he will still be Arurandeisu

The last incarnation, the captain of a starship can really resonate to him:
> I'll fly a starship
>Across the Universe divide
>And when I reach the other side
>I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Basically him in this universe, being an idol/a Holostar is him resting his spirit

What does all of this have to do with him being Italian? Still don’t know, my best assumption is that Cover generally thought the name “Al Landis” sounds Italian or something
