UnAlive has grown a lot on me in general. Ironically, or maybe just fittingly considering the meaning of the song and the album as a whole, it's a showcase of Mori's strongest and weakest as a musician and songwriter.

Nonoru has done great work previously, but she was trying something completely new to her with this project in the fight scenes. Couple that with what I'm fairly confident is Mori's ethos with anybody else's work that isn't directly tied to her own creative process being figuratively taping it to the fridge as long she believes they tried their best (see also: Saruei daki), and you end up with a product that's honest, but wanting for more. And it's not bad. It looks really nice outside of those scenes.
