I don't think covered navel actually works, if anything it seems to uncover the navel more often than not having it there at all. And the danbooru description of the tag says it's about when you can see the outline of the navel through the clothes which is not quite right. Midriff peek at lower strengths is good with the right negatives though (picrel)

Inpainting can solve anything, for sure. Although in this case I think I'd rather gen with the full clothes and inpaint just the skin instead of the reverse, because I've never had much success inpainting large areas at once
