I agree that the proposal has to be voted upon eventually, and you were asking for feedback for a long time, so it's natural that it should be voted upon soon.

To resume the debate from where it ended up: there were multiple potential issues raised, but no solutions have been proposed from my side because I had no concrete ideas on how to address them. The two key ones were higher incentive to impersonate new reps (detailed by Lunaito) and blobbing of activity creating awkward, patchwork map (brought forward by moi).

>>33329389
That is a good idea. It could be tested first, but it would need to be voted upon regardless.

You'd really need to use fantasy sciencegaping for this, because while there are compounds that stimulate cAMP synthesis it's not on the level of specifity that'd carry the process, just assist it. The best way to go is to just assume or handwave some herbal medicine or extract given to captives before their processing.
I hope you meant pH level low enough, assuming that the starter makes the conditions acidic.

I don't agree with any of them (outside of parts of Nietzsche's philosophy), but /nasfaqg/ society/culture/way of life in my mind has been influenced by extreme individualists, such as Nietzsche, Rand, Stirner. It has been tempered down by Clocks's lore somewhat, but I like for this nugget of anarchism/individualism to remain.

To just add to it: /nasfaqg/ traders would likely seek to settle matters individually - whether negotiating last shipments, sending men to /nasa/ to transport the remaining goods, or offering to buy some assets that /nasa/ would want to liquidate.

Why can't you daytrade?
And at least to me, dividends playstyle isn't to never sell, just to pour your money slowly building stack of good dividend coins, even if it comes at a small loss. Key word: small. Not, say, 10x-ing Mori non-stop.

>nasfaqg
>bureaucracy
Bigger issue would be handling a steady supply chain there, since prices in the nation are extremely volatile. Warehouses and storage would alleviate this allowing to buy (almost) non-perishable products like grain or naval equipment precursors like hardwood for cheap over time.

I there would be certainly no issues with a messenger bird network, although considering it's /nasfaqg/ I'd invest heavily into rock-solid encryption (which I could handle)... and birds that are hard to intercept.

Regarding the resupply itself... I assume it's strictly for military purposes? Asking because I likely already have an established town/harbor in those lands, but for purely military purposes maybe a separate, strictly military fort would have to be erected for secrecy and defensibility (and also not to scare off civilians off my districts).

>HABERDASHERY
>In British English, a haberdasher is a business or person who sells small articles for sewing, dressmaking and knitting, such as buttons, ribbons, and zips; in the United States, the term refers instead to a retailer who sells men's clothing, including suits, shirts, and neckties.

You mean... does it account for hats? Or clothing?
We don't have anything concrete done on clothing other than saying that there's a lot of different styles due to the different fanbases populating the isles, together with the personal tastes of rich, eccentric traders.

Either works. While I assume that some people have no issue operating pseudonymously under the same identity as in /nasfaqg/, some people prefer to stay anonymous.
I think it'd also be acceptable for /nasfaqg/ traders to set up "fictional" companies unrelated to their accounts if they want to avoid namefagging. Basically, as long as a /nasfaqg/ resident is involved in the deal, I'm fine with however they choose to write their lore, be it expanding on their already existing company or creating another one for /vtwbg/.
Just don't create fictional companies that reside in /nasfaqg/ on your own, basically.

I think 6.5% is fairly abysmal considering this amount of dividends. You could have likely aimed for 7% this week, but this changes over time since the dividends roughly keep the same value as the coin prices slowly inflate.

Good luck, I'm back from cooking reps myself, spoilered for people who don't wish to read about that.
I suppose it might impact the dip FOMO a bit, but consider another angle of this: back in the day, you were never really confident in how much liquid you 'should' have to zero yourself before dividends. There were genuine liquidity crises from 2 red days back-to-back, or a strong Susan at the end of the week. These events made the market less predictable, and now people have gotten a bit more comfortable with spending money more steadily rather than anticipating the unexpected.
With the current multicoin update (with a hidden volatility update I think, but I have not tested it, just by observing the market movement), the dips/spikes actually disappear over the course of the day. In the December-January period, the volatility was low enough for a dip to last the entire day, usually, which made a lot of people complacent and made the task of trying to estimate how much you have to spend per day trivial.
>>18468035
You are correct. It's been a very long time since a proper Susan, it's almost always VOD deletions/privates, or some more exotic events involving view rolloffs or returns from hiatuses. These, however, can be predicted. Susans were completely random.
>>18467897
About the effects of this on the market - I have a suspicion that adjustments are in some way, shape, or form based around the previous day's closing price (which would make sense, since mechanics like Oversold/Overbought would take the closing price into consideration), which would mean that events such as a Susan would be able to perhaps affect the price of coins in the longer term. I know I have jinxed it before, but Mori's price was primarily driven down by the OG brap cycle from which she usually didn't recover in full. Susans effectively injected unpredictability and variation to the market, and I think that they just made the game a bit more fun, strange as it may be.
>>18468063
Red days benefit those who can buy into them in full, i.e. the people you would wish to target. It's the green days (as >>18468445 said) that you need to buff in order to encourage trading.
A person who buys a coin on a red day will 'profit' off its return to the average price.
A person who doesn't sell on a green day will not turn a profit at all, since the value of the coin will return back down in time.
This is why "Ain't selling" was and is the most devastating FUD this thread has created.
>>18468290
I was talking about both. Old-time Mori was insane, as a coin. Now she's mostly predictable. That being said, me saying this might be a red flag for honk's scraper.
>>18468601
CCV chances/issues had no real impact on VOD views as far as I could tell. Mori's recent fluctuations come from her erratic streaming schedule, music releases, and some aftershock-like effects of view rollouts. 11k was indeed due to Q rolling off.
>>18468778
A bit of a timeloop, but you might not have been here when it was suggested: this would make dividends same-y as players would equilibrate with the coin volumes towards the 'untapped' coins. Volume changes much slower than daily VOD views (and cannot be kept in check by daily adjustments) so it would effectively just drive every single coin toward the same returns/price and kill of the entire strategic aspect of gearing your wallet for the long term.

That's not a terrible formula for the new multicoin? Assuming n and N are the same and equal to the multicoin amount, then this would give the correct total transaction cost for N coins IF it had 0.045 instead of 0.05.
