That could be pretty a pretty interesting read. Would it start out with the sorrow-masturbation, which some people will probably find hot, and then later progress into an eventual love story? Stories about juggling the virtual idol dream and the dream of a family are also very enticing so I at least would give it a read if I saw it. Also to touch on how it can sound like coping, yes, some writers can best translate their own struggles and experiences into their writing which in turn can help expel the negative feelings that surround them. It's a little like talking about your problems, but now you are in full control of how it plays out, and it can sometimes result in a fresh perspective on how to solve those issues in your own reality.
