It being diffrent was good enough. Most vtubers release the same shit over and over and sound very samey. Also being able to write her own lyrics and having lots of music connections before even joining hololive allowed her to pump out originals which was basically unheard of at the time. She now has a huge fanbase for her music. Just looking at vtuber music it does Suisei > Mori >enormous power gap> everyone else. Occasionally someone else will have a viral hit on youtube, but that is basically a blip compared to the overall views Mori and Suisei get on their music across this discography and other music streaming sites.

Is there any english vtuber that even comes close to this? Even with non-JP I don't think anyone came close. Not sure if Suisei posted hers but Mori does have more current listeners on spotify though.
