At a time when niji content was stagnating in terms of both quantity and quality, the livers had a huge offcollab on some beach or something. There were no streams, just after-talk.
This drew SOME criticism. A fringe.
And in return? The niji males blamed the whole thing on the girls' unicorns.
And the girls just sat there quietly and TOOK it, not a single one of them defended their die-hard fans from this slander.
That was when all the "good" NijiJP audience left the company entirely.

Reminder that the first 3 Niji waves were girls only.
Ethyria filtered a bunch of people that liked cute girls.
Luxiem fans flooded all niji spaces, overwhelmed and actively pushed out fans of the girls.
Pufferfish and other events gave off the perception that the girls themselves didn't like having girls-only fans, so it filtered even more people.
Males jumping into the girl's streams randomly continued filtering even more.

Zaion was in iLuna, which was the last wave prior to the niji collapse.
She was a 3view in Niji, so her core fanbase was MUCH smaller than the Luxiem sister hivemind.
She had 4chan autism behind her, but those were simply people supporting her during the drama - she was a Genshin girl, so no one /here/ was ever gonna watch her or SERIOUSLY support her outside of /here/.
