They don't. The top Japanese anime voice actors barely clear above 1M a year and most A-lister barely make over 500k. Although it's been a few years since Shirobako so it's probably closer to 750k with inflation.

Anon we are strictly talking anime dubbers you dumbo, that's why I specifically brought it up. There are no original VAs for anime in the west because all anime is made in Japan. And the A-listers doing voice work for AAA Disney movies are often real actors.
