Placement points. Picrel is the points distribution for current season. It used to only be 30 for 5th, 40 for 3rd and 4th, and 60 for 2nd. Basically, in previous season even if you go full rat unless you somehow clinched 2nd you still eat minus points (assuming Diamond tier) and you're wasting your whole ~20 mins of game time. Current season though, you can rat and once you get to 4th then it's a plus, it's that simple.
So basically, in every match there are at least 4 squads who will come out of it with plus points, as opposed to at least 2 squads in previous season. That's double the number, and it's not even accounting for kill points yet.
