Because you blatantly try to change the definition, lie that it has always been the new definition and claim anyone that uses the correct definition is the one that is wrong. This will obviously cause friction.

Like Abdomen and Belly. From now on abdomen means the clothing you wear over your torso (not the shirt, only the torso portion!), not your belly. If you see anyone that says "abs" referring to their belly muscles be sure to correct them that they should call it their "bels" because abdomen is different and has always been different.
