Adding to this because I forgot, I always envisioned the castle itself as something jarringly uncastle-like, looking more like a large government building built into the Northernmost walls. The entire arena Coco was fought in was visualized as white cobbled road with a few trees planted around the outside surrounded by burning debris as Coco was baring down on a building that somewhat resembled this but without the grand staircase heading up, modern windows or glass door. It's kind of hard to describe, but the 'castle' was always sort of weird in my mind - while everything else sort of visually resembled the same sort of anime high fantasy town BS you could normally expect (think Danmachi's city aesthetic and you'd probably get the idea right away), the castle was grounded and out of place, yet no one paid much attention to it.
