Meh, I don't recall anything in MGS3 that would require a lot of modification for anything, at least insofar as the Russia/US political situation. Most of it was historical, or at least what was understood at the time to be historically accurate. Some details about the Cuban Missile Crisis and the results were a bit murkier back then, along with the U2 incident, and a few other details, but nothing that would have to be censored or omitted for any particular reason. It was communist Soviet Russia vs. capitalist United States, standard Cold War stuff. The interesting bits were the "cooperation" between the US and Russia over certain events, but those are specific to the story.
