Hoshirube Sho is a good example and Schneider from that Thai group of boys with Dacapo and Baabel. From the trailer alone I felt the music was going to be bad. It sounded like there wasn't much effort put into making it sound unique like other movies. Speaking of visuals, it seems like they were trying something new with the animation but it....just kinda looked bad. Or weird, rather.

I feel like they were attempting a "this is an antagonist, not necessarily a villain" approach but seeing that it's didney in [current year], they probably fell through with that. I keep seeing a lot of other people sympathizing with the villain everywhere. And sure, that's pretty common when you watch these movies as a kid and then watch them again when you're older, but even then as an adult sympathizing with the villain you still acknowledge what the villain did was wrong. This just seems like his actions are completely in the right and the movie is painting him as a bad guy for absolutely no reason other than the writers being forced to find a villain in someone to make it into a stereotypical kids movie.

This part seems the saddest since I love animation and there's so many things you can do with it, even with 3D. There's ways you can combine 2D with 3D and new things you can try even with AI. Hell even with Frozen I heard they used an entirely new program just for animating the snow (or was that Brave with her hair? Either way, both had excellent animation).
