Nah, I'll strongly disagree here. Usually "success" is defined by achieving the stated goal but what NijiEN set out to do and what they achieved were two completely different things.

NijiEN initial strategy
>to provide a "counterprogramming" for HoloEN in the west
NijiEN achievement
>to capture the mainland china and SEA fujo market

That dissonance alone killed whatever strategy NijiEN might have had in their inception and put them in uncharted territory from March 2022 on.
They never had any chance to achieve anything because, to properly implement a winning strategy, the following step was MANDATORY
>to deprioritize and, if possible, disband the initial "HoloEN alternative", both the livers and the audience.
They didn't have the guts to do it and (and this is my speculation) it reflected in the way they planned their (now cancelled) 3D Live-

Had they gone with a Luxiem only, or with a LuxNoc 3D Live in December 2022 they would havesecure a major victory and solidified their boys waves as Niji top tier.
But they didn't. they had to include the LOE girls and that made it impossible to go ahead, and caused it to be cancelled.

Long story short: there is more than getting some temporary success to call something successful and NijiEN had an original sin: it was born as "HoloEN, but with talent freedom".
That was the branch undoing and ultimate reason to not having it succeed
