I've discussed it before, but Comfydants' cannibalism does indeed differ from /meat/'s. As far as Comfydants are concerned, cannibalism is simply regarded as normal. This is due to the fact that, in the timeline they came from, the vast majority of animals have gone completely extinct in the wild. Livestock existed, but would have only been prohibitively expensive, the sort of luxury afforded only by the grotesquely rich. Then on the other hand, there are humans. Humans who, due to the simple realities of the environment in which they exist, must replace the vast majority of their bodies with artificial parts. But to give someone a metal limb, or spine, or possibly even to replace the entirety of the body save the brain, the flesh must go. And then wouldn't it be such a damned waste, to throw away all that perfectly good meat, when meat is so vanishingly scarce? Thus, the parts are "recycled." Flesh is used for food. Bones are used for bonemeal. Skin is made into eather. And so on.
