I think Marine winning the PPT2 tournament is the best outcome because she really has the skill to win. Consistently making 5+ Puyo Puyo chains is not an easy feat.

Imagine if Marine didn't participate and Fubuki won the final with her casual skill. The backlash would have been bigger because it would have shown the imbalance between Puyo Puyo and Tetris. Just look at the Fubuki vs. Okayu match (https://youtu.be/JOFXeA2h3tY?t=11207).).

Fubuki has had a bad experience with Puyo Puyo and it has traumatized her (https://twitter.com/shirakamifubuki/status/1647615841742233600).). If Fubuki had won the tournament, many people would have voiced dissatisfaction and made her feel traumatized again. Marine beating her is actually a blessing for Fubuki, and I'm really glad she made it to 3rd place.
