They decided to do it on their own, Yagoo had nothing to do with the collab planning.
This whole issue stems from a larger problem in that the pool of talent they pull from in the western vtubing world overwhelmingly resents idol culture and have zero respect for it. They'll gladly wear the anime mask and the brand, but then have no care for the baggage that comes with it. They really should have just focused on getting into niji instead if they had no intent to comply with the idolshit.
Cover really seems to want an im@s side M type thing with holoEN, but it'll likely never work because male vtubers who qualify to get in are all too volatile.
