Thank you, this was nice! He does have a huge memory gap as Ike, and you never mentioned the fact that Eki is DEFINITELY present in both BL and Maze, I always thought of him as a protective shell personality and so far nothing seems to disprove this.
I wonder if the drowning is BOTH a metaphor and something very real, would be very funny. And I agree with the loop where he kept against his will in theory, "so cruelly prolonged" and him always addressing someone in lyrics like "just let me feel at peace", seems to hint at something like this...
