I get what you're saying about fanbases, but the girls were in a far worse mental state than Nux was. When you take into account that, while many Nux fans are VShojo fans, few VShojo fans are Nux fans (and even worse, that many people threw in with Nux due to their disdain of VShojo), it becomes even harder to claim the same thing happened on both sides.
